Neither Revolution Nor New-Year Resolution Can Change Your Life. But Thinking All Through The year Can.

We earthlings celebrate the beginning of every new year which marks the completion of one earth's revolution around the Sun.  It does not exactly take 365 days, but approx. 365.25 days for the orbit. So every four years, that discrepancy is resolved by adding an extra day which makes a leap year with 366 days. 2020 is a leap year. But there's something more interesting. Read below.

Earth takes 24 hours to rotate once which makes 1 day. But the planet Venus takes 243 days to rotate once and 225 days to orbit the Sun once. So a day on Venus is longer than its year. If we are on Venus, we might celebrate "Happy New Day" than "Happy New Year". Most planets rotate in anti-clockwise direction, but Venus rotates clockwise. So the Sun rises in the west and sets in the east on Venus. Look at the the length of a year on each planet above. Pluto takes 248 years to go around the sun once. Since its discovery in 1930, Pluto hasn't completed one full orbit  around the Sun.

Its not the new year-resolution nor revolution that changes your life.
Its the thought that revolutionizes your life.
