EARTH
ROTATES AT A SPEED OF 1600
km/h
MOON
ORBITS THE EARTH AT A SPEED OF 3683
km/h
EARTH
ORBITS THE SUN AT A SPEED OF 1,10,000
km/h
SOLAR
SYSTEM MOVES AROUND MILKY WAY AT A SPEED OF 8,28,000 km/h
Just
read those speeds again. When earth constantly rotates at speed of 1600 km/h and moon going around the earth
at 3683 km/h and earth itself is
orbiting
the sun at 1,10,000 km/h and the
entire solar system is moiving around the milky way galaxy at 8,28,000 km/h,
how do you send a rocket / spacecracft / astronauts to the Moon? What kind of
rocket science, engineering, electronics systems are needed to achieve this?
That's why Chandrayaan 2 is an amazing mission.
All
the credit goes one great genius scientist ever born on earth, Sir Isaac Newton. Scientists still
use today Newton's laws of motion and gravity to send rockets / satellites / astronauts to other planets and far into
space.
Students of Alphores e-Techno school, Karimangar asked many questions during rocket science workshop. One
student asked, how does a spacecraft adjust its path/orbit to reach a
particular planet? How do astronauts come back to earth from space? How did
asronauts spend 21 hours on the Moon during Apollo 11 mission? A lot of
fascniation at Rocket Science Workshop. Rocket-science
Workshop for 6-10th graders can be organized at your school. Students will
learn Rocket science / Space Travel / Chandrayaan 2 in detail.
Space is the Future, Science is the
Way. Let us all make India a
Space-Super-Power.
