This is how our planet earth will look
like one day because of human activity. Most of sunlight gets reflected back to space by
arctic ice which is called albedo effect. This keeps the planet at right
temperatures for us. But NASA data shows that more than 30% of arctic ice
melted in the last 30 years. The Arctic is warming twice as fast as
the rest of the planet, at a rate of temperature change that has not been
observed in at least the last 2,000 years, according to the National Oceanic
and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Humans have been releasing lot of CO2 in
atmosphere which is trapping sun's heat in atmosphere. Since 1900, earth's
temperature has risen 1 degree celsius. An average of 5 degrees will wipe out
70% trees/species which may push humanity to extinction gradually. Life went extinct 6 times for
various reasons in the history of earth over 3500
million years.
