After 4 Billion Years, Our night sky looks like this

After some 4 billion years into the future, this is what our night sky will look like. That is a galaxy named 'Andromeda'. Andromeda is the nearest galaxy to our own galaxy Milkyway. Milkyway and Andromeda galaxies have nearly 40,000 crores of stars in each of them. Our sun is just one star out of them.

Andromeda is coming towards Milkyway at a speed of 110 km/sec and it is going to collide with Milkyway. Below is the simulation of that collision by NASA. When they collide, two galaxies are going to merge into one huge galaxy called 'Milkomeda'. It will be 1 billion year long light show for people living during those future times. Their night sky will be spectacular with fireworks of stars of galaxies. Look at the picture above again. Don't we like that view in our night sky? Fascinating space.
