Deoxyribonucleic
acid (DNA) is a molecule composed of two chains that coil around each
other to form a double helix carrying genetic instructions
for the development, functioning, growth and reproduction of all known organisms
and many viruses. We are made up of trillions of cells. Inside of each of those
cells, there is a DNA molecule that controls all the functions from
respiration, metabolism to death etc through release of proteins.
To say simply, all of life is written in DNA. It contains information of 3,500 million years of evolution of life on earth. DNA could store all of the world's data in one room. The human genome contains approximately 3 billion of base pairs, which reside in the 23 pairs of chromosomes within the nucleus of all our cells.

Sun is 93,000,000 miles away. IF you stretch all of the DNA in all of our cells, it could reach the sun and come back 4 times.
Welcome to the fascinating world of Genetics and DNA @ life sciences.
